Network Administrator

CamNet’s Network Administrators build, maintain, and troubleshoot our clients’ rapidly expanding network infrastructures. They focus on system security, integrity, efficiency, and modernization. The ideal candidate for this position can prioritize mission critical tasks, contribute to and work well in a team environment, and coordinate the maintenance, configuration, and expansion of our monitored systems.

Position Description:

· Manage Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), VPNs

· Troubleshoot a wide range of IT related issues, from Desktop and Server environments to Enterprise level networks.

· Manage, lead, perform technology projects as assigned

· Manage client technology assets

· Monitor systems and advise senior network staff of failures or degradations as well as assist in arranging for and executing corrective action plans

· Provide desktop support including PC hardware and software troubleshooting; installation, moves/adds/changes, user education and application assistance to clients

· Document purchases according to company policy and procedures

· Maintain software licensing and subscriptions

· Document daily operations and software

· Respond and follow-up on customer support problems

· Provide telephone support to clients as needed

· Provide occasional after hours on-call support as needed

Position Requirements:

· Requires Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

· 4-5 years of related experience

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

·  Customer service oriented

· Able to learn new technology and obtain certifications

· Experience as a computer technician, IT Systems, or similar background

· Experience troubleshooting Level I technical issues

· Technical troubleshooting and analytical skills

· IT Systems / LAN administration experience

· Ability to learn new systems quickly

· Strong background with Windows 7 desktops and a Windows network environment

· Proficient using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, etc.

· Active Directory User and Computer administration

Position Qualifications:

· Experience with Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012, Cisco VoIP phone administration

· MCSE, A+, Net+, Security+, Cisco certifications

· Bachelor's degree in MIS, or other IT-related field

· Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in system administration

· Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server (Preferably 2012)

· Experience with virtual servers (e.g. Hyper-V)

· Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g. Citrix, VMware)

· Solid Networking experience hardware related: Routers, Switches, firewalls, Ethernet cabling

· Solid Networking knowledge software related: OSI network layers, SSL, TCP/IP

· Preferred Qualifications

· Microsoft Active Directory

· MS Office 365 - SharePoint (Building and Administering)

· Experience with monitoring systems (e.g. Kaseya, Sophos Endpoint, OpenDNS)

Preferred Position Certifications:

· MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional)

· MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)

· CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)

· CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)

· CCA (Citrix Certified Administrator) or CCIA (Citrix Certified Integration Architect)

· VMware Certified Professional

Position Ancillary Items:

· Approximately 25% Travel Availability

· Ability to lift and carry work related objects of 20-40 lbs.
